End of summer, last few days of vacation for the kids, a great time to head to the coast of Maine for some time away. Acadia National Park has always been a favorite destination for our family. Tons of things to do, mountain biking, hiking, tide pooling (if that’s a word) and exploring. Usually when I’m on vacation with the family I’ll sneak out for a morning or two to catch sunrise over the ocean and the rugged coastline. Just up the “Park Loop Road” from Thunderhole is a curve in the road that hugs the top of a steep granite cliff. Seemed like an interesting place to make an image. Surprisingly, with the number of cameras and tourists I saw all week, I was alone to enjoy the sunrise burning through a towering fog bank.
