Exposure – A photostory on the KAVU website

Shooting in the winter is fun, challenging and some times a pain in the ass. Throw in the rugged Maine coastline and you’re in for an interesting day. A friend, Richard Dennis was game for sliding on the wetsuit and roaming around the Kittery Maine coast for some winter SUP shots. Richard and I had worked together on a shoot earlier in the season, mid-summer, he’s into exploring and getting out there on his Stand up paddle board SUP, I’m always looking to shoot people in their element. SUP is definitely Rich’s element. We spent an evening in the quiet waters of Brave Boat Harbor in the summer and an afternoon along the snow covered rocks of Fort Foster, both excellent. The lifestyle clothing company KAVU liked the combination of images and how can you beat the coast of Maine for scenery, so they pulled a sweet photo story together with Richard’s words and my images. Check it out here at www.KAVU.com . To make the whole story a bit more interesting we took over KAVU’s instagram (@KAVU) feed for the weekend, giving those west coast folks a better feel for life here in the East.
