As a photographer it’s always a pleasure to have a body of work featured especially by one of the longest running regional magazines here in New England. Yankee Magazine’s online presence www.newengland.com, is newly revamped and has much of the same content that the print magazine has along with many added sections. The lovely photo editor Heather Marcus asked a few questions and put up a nice White Mountain focused slideshow of my photography featuring fly fishing, landscapes and sunsets. Here’s the link to the page at www.newengland.com The editors and creatives over at Yankee have been great to work for and it’s important that they are showcasing some of the wonderful places here in New Hampshire and the rest of New England through travel articles, food, reviews and slideshows. If you don’t get the magazine in print at least head over to their site and explore what they’ve got to offer. They dive into the nooks and crannies of our region.
“But I also am inspired by the places I shoot, the weather and how it interacts with our environment. It’s massive and chaotic and adds so much to a photograph. It could be how the light filters through snow squalls or the thunder clouds rolling over the hillside. “Weather” can mean a warm spring breeze or hail, snow and hurricane force winds, plus everything in between. Maybe that’s why I live here in New England, because that inspires me as much as any individual.”
