2015 starts with a flash of published pieces. Friday The New York Times went live with their 52 places to visit in 2015, I got assigned with Quebec City, Canada. I was hoping for a warm tropical location to get away from our arctic blast lately, but Quebec City is a vibrant city to spend time in, lots of great food, nightlife and rich history. (link to NY Times ) The mix of shooting video and stills is a challenge with limited time, but adds a lot when trying to capture the feel of a city or place. On the same week the Fly Fisherman Magazine piece on Native Brook Trout in Maine came out in the January issue. Warmer times with open beautiful waters full of bugs and trout. Then to finish the list, Stand Up Journal used a shot from last winter of Richard Dennis hiking through the snow with his paddleboard on his way into the chilly Atlantic Ocean. A great way to start off the year!
